Robert Powers
President
In 1973, he moved to Stark, Johnson & Stinson Insurance Agency in Worcester, a large commercial lines agency where he was Vice President.
Twenty years later, the agency was purchased by Arthur J. Gallagher & Company, a National Insurance Brokerage located in Chicago, IL. Mr. Powers became a Senior Vice President for the firm in its Massachusetts operation. Powers specialized in both commercial and personal lines insurance for Arthur J. Gallagher & Company.
Mr. Powers was a former President of the Massachusetts Association of Insurance Agents and Brokers, (MAIA), and was recognized with the Associations Pacesetter Award for his involvement with the insurance industry and currently serves as a board member of the Number One Insurance Agency which is operated by MAIA.
Mr. Powers is also a board member at ProMutual Insurance Company, the seventh largest Medical Malpractice carrier in the country.
Powers local affiliations include, being a board member at BayState Savings Bank, serving on various committees including Audit, Strategic Planning and Compensation. He also serves on the Advisory Board of the Family Health Center of Worcester.
